Youth staff
Greetings Youth STAFF!
If you are a registered Scouts BSA participant in a boy or girl troop who has some free time this summer and are looking to continue your Scouting adventure, complete some of your school service-hours, or simply are looking to give back to your community, we sure could use your help! Youth Staff are generally boys and girls aged 12-18, although special arrangements can be made for first year Scouts on a case by case basis when an adult is also volunteering at camp.
As a Camp Riverhawk Youth Staff member, you will have a very important role in making the camp experience the best it can be for the Cub Scouts attending. You will be the direct line of support for the adult den leaders, station leaders, administrative staff, and campers, assisting in the daily operations of the program. The Youth Staff position at Camp Riverhawk is an extremely important role as you will be setting an example for the younger kids on how to work hard, treat other people, and have fun while doing it all. While this is a work position, there is also some time to have fun as you will have the opportunity to take part in some of what the camp has to offer as well as assisting the adults with important tasks.
Some of the things that will be expected of you are:
Follow the directions of staff you will be working with.
Attend Camp Staff Training prior to camp.
Arrive to camp between 7:30am and 7:45 am each morning.
Assist the adults with station activities.
Set a good example in behavior, attitude and camp safety.
Wear the official Camp Shirt every day.
Avoid abusive language, swearing, or aggressive behavior.
Absolutely no disciplining any Scout.
